Hetal Anjaria
Born and raised in Mumbai, India, Hetal Anjaria was always intrigued by the beauty in nature which surrounded her, as well as the various cultures in the prodigious city. She was inspired to try different forms of art, especially folk art paintings from her country.
Hetal completed her Bachelors in Textile Designing in Mumbai. After moving to Fremont, California, she developed skills in various mediums including oil, watercolor, color pencil, acrylic, traditional dye, coffee, and turmeric. The extreme detail in Indian Folk Paintings also made her re-explore her interest in it. She created a variety of Folk Art Paintings but added her own modern twist. Her paintings attempt to capture the essence of Folk Paintings in style, spirit, and materials while including more modern and complex designs. She wants to keep the wonderful techniques of Folk Painting alive and promote interest in them.
